Located in the hill of Alcaria Queimada, its unknown its foundation, however the seventeenth century it´s set as a probable date.
In 1756/7 the altarpiece was purchased and the image of the saint in 1749/50. The Church suffered works recently in which stands out the resetting of the stone portal.
On August 9th is celebrated the festival of St. Benedict, which is one of the municipality's largest and oldest religious festival.
On the altar there is a hole where the pilgrim put a body part three times to cure their diseases.
