Monte Gordo is one the most tourist area of Vila Real de Santo António municipality and includes vast trade, particularly of traditional crafts and clothes fashion. Also cafeteria, diverse restaurants, tourist agencies animation, evening entertainment, among many others.
Trade is a bit all over the place, though with more expression in the marginal in front of the beach, on the western side (near the Casino) and on the main avenue (Rua Pedro álvares Cabral).
