The borderland village of Alcoutim enchants for its beauty and authenticity. Its proximity to the Spanish neighboring village of Sanlucar de Guadiana. But above all, Alcoutim it´s famous by the majestic views of the Guadiana River. Being the seat of the municipality is where are located the main services, restaurants, as well as handicrafts items.

The Martim Longo parish holds much of the existing trade in the municipality, with handmade and local products, diverse rstaurants. It has famous bakeries in the municipality and whose products can be found in any Algarve store and supermarket.

In the remaining parishes and municipality villages it´s predominant cafeteria, catering, honey, liqueurs and sweets/cakes.
