River Connections to Ayamonte (Spain)
Before the opening of the International Bridge over the Guadiana, this was the only way to visit the neighboring Spain, through the border post installed in the city of Vila Real de Santo António. Times have changed and the new bridge facilitated much traffic to the other side and travel to Spain. But the river link can be a good alternative for those visiting the nearby town of Ayamonte and do not know very well where to park over there.
